What is Mentoring for Mums?
Are you struggling to workout Motherhood? It’s a tangly paradox being a woman and mum. The thing that no one ever tells us is that we don’t have to do this all on our own. And you don’t need to be in a terrible state in order to get support. No one has it all worked out!
Someone once said to me:
‘I’m such a rubbish mum, I’ll never be calm and relaxed like you, you're such a natural’.
And I replied: ‘Thanks that is so kind, so you know, I get a lot of support, I wasn't born a natural mum, I'm not sure anyone is, I have a coach and sometimes a therapist.’ She was surprised.
Getting help is normal in so many areas of life. And I believe getting help for living life and being a parent is one area where we are all horribly judgemental of ourselves and others.
Coaching is an amazing way to gently examine your internal world and make positive change. Unlike therapy it doesn't analyse the past. It has therapeutic qualities, and we’ll draw on past experience, then make a plan to move you on from whatever you are stuck on right now.
